In the past, we have been able to provide our Canadian friends with quotes for shipping. However, at this time we are no longer offering this option unless you have a Customs Broker in place first. (One exception: If you are ordering a CycleShelter, which is shipped by UPS, you do not need a customs broker.) 

Before emailing us with requests for quotations, please read the following information, which we hope will help you understand what you must consider when placing an order with us. In your email, please acknowledge that you have read and agree to these requirements:

1) Customs Broker: You must either have, or be willing to get a Customs Broker before you place an order with us. This is required, and there is no "wiggle room" here. The company who ships on our behalf (MDM Rhino Shelters) requires this information from me when the order is placed. That means I need this information from you when the order is placed. You can check your Yellow Pages for assistance in locating a customs broker. We cannot recommend brokers; however, the following broker has been used by several Canadian customers, and they may be able to assist you in identifying a broker that will suit your needs. In addition, you can search online, using the phrase "Customs Brokers Canada."

2) Duties and Taxes: We do not have information regarding any duties, customs, or taxes that may be charged or due to the Canadian government. This is where your customs broker can assist you. 

3) Country of Origin: All Rhino Shelters marketed by Portable Garages and Shelters are manufactured in China, and they are not engineered or rated for snow load or wind load.

4) Quotes are in US Dollars: We cannot provide quotes in Canadian dollars. Your best source for determining what your costs will be is probably going to be a local financial institution or bank - they typically have the conversion rate at their fingertips.

5) Payment: We accept PayPal for our Canadian orders, and will provide you with a PayPal invoice. If yours is a large company order, we will accept an International Bank Draught, payable in US Dollars. Payments must clear our US bank prior to releasing the order for shipment. No Western Union.

6) Pick Up in the US:

• Pick Up at a Friend/Relative Location in the US: If you are close to the US border, and have friends or acquaintances who are willing to accept a shipment on your behalf, that's fine; however remember that you are responsible for having someone present to accept and sign for your order. You can pick up your Rhino shelter there. Simply order as usual, using PayPal as your payment option (we do not take credit card purchases outside the US), and use the US address for your shipping address. (Shipments to Alaska need a separate quote.)
• Special Note if you live in SE British Columbia or Southern Alberta: It may save you some money to have your order shipped to The Montana Shipping Outlet in Eureka, Montana, which is very close to the border - just 8 miles south of Roosville, BC. For a small fee, they can receive your portable garage for you to pick up there. Call them at (406) 297-2016 or visit their web site at: www.montanashipping.com. You must make the arrangements with them before you order, then place your order via PayPal, using the Montana Shipping Outlet as the "Ship To" Address, per the guidelines of the Montana Shipping Outlet.
• Manual Order: We are happy to provide a PayPal Invoice for you in either of these cases if you prefer.

7) When Emailing us: Finally, if you do decide that you would like a shipping quote from us, please provide your full address including your postal code so we can get your quote back to you as quickly as possible.
