Portable Garages

Portable garages are structures with a waterproof and fireproof cover and metal poles that allow for the storage of items such as cars, RVs and equipment and tools. Many people use these structures as an overflow for their existing garage, or because they do not currently have access to somewhere where they can store their vehicle. They offer all the same benefits of a conventional garage for a lower cost and without the need for special permission to build on their land.

However, they are not just used for keeping cars out of the sun and rain. Portable garages also work as storage units in the same way a canopy or tent would. Some models will have roll-down doors that can be easily opened and shut and can keep lawnmowers, tillers and other gardening equipment away from the harsh effects of the outside world. They can also be used for gardening, growing plants, or anything else that requires a waterproof but light outside environment. Some can even be used to keep people dry during garden parties or other events requiring use of the yard without exposure to rain and wind.

Although some people leave their portable garages standing for years, they can also be taken down when not needed. This means that they can be used for when visitors come to stay and need somewhere to park their car, or when equipment needs cleaning and there is not space in the current garage. With most reasonably sized models, the structures can be erected in a couple of hours, and can be secured with anchors for longer lasting security or left unsecured for quicker removal later on. The word ‘portable’ remains very true to the unit, as these are ideal for last minute jobs or equipment protection and can be packed up and transported when required elsewhere.
